PALAWAN :: PHILIPPINES
So many people set out for El Nido when they land in Palawan, but here are some other sights to see on the island.

Nacpan Beach
If you want champagne sand on a quiet, pristine beach, head all the way up to Nacpan Beach past El Nido town, when you visit Palawan.

Bulalacao Falls
As you’re heading north to Nacpan Beach from El Nido town, there is a loop that will take you around the perimeter of the island. Instead of veering off to the left to follow it north, stay on the main Taytay El Nido highway until that road becomes rocky and rough. After about 10 minutes, you will cross over a bridge and you will see a small house with a sign that says “waterfalls.” The Bulalacao Falls are a short 20 minute hike from the turn off. Along the way you cross over this crystal clear river 4-5 times before reaching the cascading waterfalls.

Kuyawyaw Falls
The map is easy to read, the roads are easy to follow and taking a bus takes twice as long. So instead of paying a fortune to fly into El Nido, rent a car from Puerto Princesa and make some stops along the way. Including this series of three waterfalls between El Nido town and Taytay called Kuyawyaw falls. They get bigger and better the farther you go.

Waterfall Hike
Another waterfall hike, taking you past three waterfalls on the way up.

Port Barton
See the sleepier side of Palawan and go visit Port Barton.
